S&S Saimin Soup Base 28oz

When I moved from Hawaii back to the Mainland, I could not get S&S Saimin base anywhere! I am so happy to have found on this site.

We appreciate the size. The little packets never last long enough. So, we share this larger bag of soup base between 2 households. Good stuff!

Very disappointed in this product. Haven't even opened it because of the ingredients. There's more MSG in this product than anything I've seen in a long time. That's the problem with not showing ingredients online when selling products. You just don't know what you are buying.

The S&S Original Soup Base is the best! Apart from a broth for soups and noodle dishes, it also adds a great deal of flavor to tonkatsu and yakisoba. Having relocated from Honolulu to Las Vegas, thanks to Leilani's Attic, I'm able to enjoy savory meals with more than just a touch of Hawaii flavor. Mahalo!

Born and raised in Honolulu and now a Hoosier (in Indianapolis) for the last 30+ years...I never realized I could order saimin soup base and dry noodles. I cried when I first got my delivery of both. I've eaten saimin with spam, kamaboko and green onions almost every day in the last few weeks! Looking forward to ordering perishable foods like lau lau and poi soon. The product I purchased was exactly like the picture!!!

The simplest and best powdered broth for making Hawaiian Saimin. Just scoop it in water to taste and add it to the noodles and go. So simple, yet the product is not that easy to find. One bag will last for about 40 or so bowls, I think.
